Understanding the intricacies of the Cycle to Work scheme can sometimes be daunting. With so much jargon flying around, it's sometimes difficult to just get an overview of the whole process.

We took a step back and thought about how best we can convey the Cyclescheme process, without churning out page after page of text. Let's face it, when you find out your employer is about to launch a Cycle to Work scheme, the last thing you want to do is sit down and read through a load of T's and C's. You want to be visiting your local bike shop, looking at bikes and accessories and planning your commute to work.

That's why we've compacted the whole process down into two short (and hopefully light-hearted) animations featuring our good friend, Bob. In just 3 minutes and 48 seconds you can learn everything you need to know about Cyclescheme from the process of applying for a certificate, right through to the options available once your hire period is complete.

The second video guides you through the end of hire process and explains what actually happens when your hire period has come to an end.

We haven't aimed to cover absolutely everything in the videos as there can be slight variations in how a Cycle to Work scheme is run, but we hope these animations will help provide a useful overview of how everything works.

On all Ridley frames we follow one design philosophy – ‘FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION.’ Every tube shape, frame construction and geometry is chosen for a specific reason. From the beginning, reliability, stiffness and strength have been the essence of our design. Why take risks in designing when nature offers some solid and well proven examples? Most of our tube shapes are inspired from shapes found in nature. For example in our road range a water droplet shape is featured in our aero shape, an oversized circle is the basis for our stiffness to weight range and a diamond is foundation for our strength range. Reinventing and optimizing nature’s examples have led to a range of top performance bicycles. These are the fundamentals required to resist the toughest cycling conditions in the world, our home ground - BELGIUM.
A checklist for success - our design process is as simple as it is efficient:
• We start from a wish list with clear goals that we want to achieve from our range.
• Every solution is well thought through with the principles of form follows function.
• Before going into production, the prototypes are thoroughly tested by computer analysis,
machine fatigue testing and also by our professional riders.
This feedback helps us to reach perfection.

Applicants must be UK residents, over 18 and employed for a minimum 16 hours per week.

Moneyway offer interest free 0%APR repayment terms of 6,10,12,18, 20, 24 months. The 18 month option is only available on bikes over £400 and 20 or 24 month options are only available on bikes over £1000. Do remember that the shorter the term the higher the monthly repayment.

A deposit of 10% is required for bikes upto £1000 and £100 minimum for bikes over £1000, but remember if you pay a bigger deposit it results in smaller monthly repayments. Your deposit must be paid using a visa, master or debit card in the name and address of the customer on the credit agreement. Your repayments will be made by direct debit.

As you are buying mail order a 14 day ‘cooling off’ period is applied from receipt of your signed agreement by Moneyway, allowing you to cancel for any reason. Once this period has passed and Moneyway have given us authority to do so, we will send you bike out to you.

Arranging an application is easy and takes no more than 5 minutes on the phone when you will get an immediate answer if you application is approved. Make sure your credit status has no black marks and you have a bank account registered to your home address.

Call us with your current account bank details and bank address, current and previous home address if you have moved recently, gross annual pay, employers name address and your job description We will input the information after we have calculated an acceptable deposit and repayment term with you.

Please Note: The finance is subject to status, credit checks and the terms and conditions set out in the credit agreement contract that you sign with Moneyway. The finance agreement is with Moneyway not Cyclezone Uk.

Cycle to Work is a tax incentive aimed at encouraging employees to cycle to work, thereby reducing air pollution and improving their health.

. The scheme allows employees to benefit from a long term loan of bikes and commuting equipment such as lights, locks and panniers completely tax free.

Employers benefit from fitter, more punctual, more wide-awake staff. Employees benefit from better health and better bikes because their money goes further. With a budget of, say £400, an employee in the high tax-band can now afford a bike, plus accessories, worth nearly £800.
